National team half-back Oleksandr Zinchenko will unfortunately not be able to help the blue and yellow during the September matches of the UEFA Nations League 2022/2023.
The player of London's "Arsenal" received a quadriceps injury during training at the club and will need about two weeks for treatment and recovery. Upon receiving the news, Oleksandr immediately informed the head coach of Ukraine's national team, Oleksandr Petrakov, by phone. We wish Sasha a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, the national team is starting its gathering in Warsaw today. Around 10 AM Central European Time, the coaching staff, administrative and medical personnel, as well as two goalkeepers—Dmytro Ryznyk and Yevhen Volynets—will arrive by train from Kyiv to the capital of Poland. By noon, players called up from "Shakhtar," "Dynamo," "Dnipro-1," who played in European competitions, along with half-back Andriy Yarmolenko of club "Al-Ain," will already be present at the main team's location.
