Last Sunday, three more matches of the 4th round of the Ukrainian Premier League took place. Kyiv's Dynamo finally broke their unfortunate streak and secured their first points in the league.
In European competitions and the UPL, the white-and-blue team had lost five consecutive games, so they were hoping to improve their situation in a home match against Lviv at the Arena Lviv. However, Mircea Lucescu could not rely on Shaparenko and Bushchan, who sustained serious injuries in the Europa League match against Fenerbahçe.
Dynamo finally managed to secure a victory by scoring the only goal. On the 32nd minute, Boyalskyi converted Cigangov's cross. Today, for Dynamo, players called up for the September national team training camp played: Zabarnyi, Timchik (substituted in the 61st minute), Sidorchuk, Cigangov (assisted on goal), Karavaev (came on as a substitute in the 61st minute).
In Uzhhorod, Dnipro-1 managed to break through Metalist 1925's resistance by scoring three goals against their opponent in the second half. First, Adamyuk scored from a corner kick with his head, then Dobik scored his first goal of the season, and finally substitute Gromov sealed the result. Thus, black-and-yellow are the only team in the UPL that continues to go without lost points. In Dnipro-1's lineup were players called up for the national team: Pikhalyonok (substituted in the 79th minute) and Dobik (goal scorer, substituted in the 85th minute).
In another match, Kolos narrowly defeated Metalist at their home stadium. Mykushko's excellent goal with a shot into the bottom corner allowed Kovalivtsi to top the league table. In Kolos' lineup, goalkeeper Volynets played the full game and received an invitation from Oleksandr Petrakov for the national team.
