President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the meetings of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters and his participation in an important forum in Italy.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Today, I held another meeting this week at the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters. As always, the leaders of the defense and security sector were present: Zaluzhnyi, Monastyrskyi, Budanov, Maliuk, Danilov, and others. The commanders of operational directions reported — Syrski, Litvinov, Kovalev.

I think you all understand the main issues. Decisions were made. I believe we will see them soon. We also discussed today the issue of ensuring our troops and comprehensive support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

I chaired a meeting on further steps of the state towards European integration. This is another one of our operational work directions — daily important work.

For us, the movement of Ukraine into the EU and transformation within our country — this is what is one of the key elements of long-term national security, a guarantee of freedom for all Ukrainians. Therefore, the process of European integration deserves not just separate attention to political, economic, social, legal aspects but an integrated approach. Moving towards Europe strengthens Ukrainian national life as a whole. I am confident that Ukraine will become a full member of the EU. At least, we will do everything for this.

I took part today in the work of an important forum in Italy. One of the most influential economic forums in Europe — the Ambrosetti Forum. I thanked Prime Minister Draghi and all Italians who help us and also protect Ukraine's desire for freedom, for Europe. I proposed new directions for cooperation between our countries — both now and after our victory.

It is important for Ukraine to maintain and strengthen Italian support regardless of any changes in political moods. By the way, this week it was already my second address to Italy's society — after addressing participants and guests of the Venice Film Festival.

We fight for support and understanding of Ukraine in all European countries, in all audiences of European societies. Every time I remind that the defense of Ukraine is the defense of all Europe. Not just ours — but of the entire democratic world.

It is from this point of view that we should consider today's decision by the "Big Seven" countries regarding the price cap on Russian oil. When this mechanism will be implemented, it will become an important element in protecting civilized countries and energy markets from Russian hybrid aggression.

And indeed — the price for Russian gas also needs to be capped. I am grateful to Ms Ursula von der Leyen who said so today. It is long overdue that such energy sanctions against Russia should be taken. Sanctions that not only limit the flow of oil dollars and gas euros into Moscow but, importantly, restore justice for all Europeans whom Russia tries to blackmail with artificially inflated prices on the energy market.

I signed another decree awarding our soldiers. 166 participants in combat operations were awarded state awards, including 44 posthumously. Eternal glory to all who gave their lives for Ukraine!

Eternal glory to all our warriors fighting the occupiers everywhere on Ukrainian territory! Kharkiv direction, Donbas, southern Ukraine — everywhere and will be Ukraine. And only freedom. And only Europe. We will never give it up to occupiers.

Glory to Ukraine!
