To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 23, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred eighty-first day of heroic resistance against Russia's military aggression has begun.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions, in border areas, the enemy actively employs radio-electronic warfare means.

There is a threat of missile and aviation strikes from Belarusian territory.

On the Northern Direction, the enemy used artillery to shell civilian and military infrastructure in populated areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

On the Slobozhanskyi Direction, the enemy is conducting combat operations aimed at maintaining previously occupied areas and positions, attempting to improve tactical positioning.

On the Kharkiv Direction, the enemy shelled with artillery populated areas of Onorobivka, Sosnovka, Tsupyvka, Novo, Zamulivka, Dokuchayevskoye, Pitomnik, Starosltyvit, Velika Rogan and Yavashki. Conducted air strikes near Pitomnik and Mospanovo. Used UAVs for reconnaissance of our positions and correction of artillery fire.

On the Slovianskyi Direction, the enemy conducted fire strikes with tanks, artillery, and MLRS near Norcivka, Krasnopillya, and Dolyna. Conducted an air strike near Bogorodichnoe.

On the Donetsk Direction, enemy efforts are focused on conducting active operations on the Bakhmut and Avdiyiv directions.

On the Kramatorskyi Direction, shelling near Hryhoriyivka, Rozdolivka, Bylyenky, and Spirnoye was observed.

On the Bakhmutskyi Direction, occupiers conducted fire strikes near Bakhmut, Mayor'ska, Solodara, Zaytseve, Shumy, and Kodemy. The enemy attempted to conduct reconnaissance by fire in the vicinity of populated area Zaitseve, as well as storming actions around Solodara and Kodemy, without success, withdrew.

On the Avdiivskyi Direction, the enemy used tanks, artillery, and MLRS near Water Supply Station, Novobakhmutivka, Krasnogorivka, Opitnoye, and Nevelskoye. Conducted an air strike near Mariinka. Attempted to advance near Krasnogorivka and Pervomaiskoye, without success.

On the Novopavlivskyi Direction, shelling of populated areas Pavlivka, Prechistivka, Vuhledar was conducted. Conducted offensive battles near New Mykhailivka, Zolotaya Niva, without success.

On the Zaporizhzhia Direction, fire influence near Zaliznychny, Orekhovo, Chernyye, Burlyatskoye, Green Field, Stepovoye, Novopavlivka and Novoandriivka was observed. The enemy conducted air strikes in the vicinity of Malinivka, Olgivske, Zaliznychny and Novopol.

On the South Buzhskyi Direction, main efforts of the enemy are focused on maintaining occupied positions and preventing our troops from advancing. Uses measures for replenishment of losses. Conducted shelling with tanks and various types of artillery near Parutino, Limany, Lozovo, Shevchenkove, Miren, Ukrainka, Kiselivka, Potyomkinne, Shirokoye, Ivanivka, Osokorivka, Dobryanka, Pryshyb, Kvitenye. Conducted air strikes near Trudolyubivka, Potyomkin and Andriyivka. Actively used UAVs for aerial reconnaissance.

Naval groupings of the enemy in the waters of the Black Sea and Azov Sea are focusing their main efforts on blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea and striking military objects and infrastructure elements deep within Ukrainian territory.
