President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about his working visit to Dnipropetrovsk and efforts in domestic and foreign policy.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Today I worked all day on a trip — in Dnipro and the region, in Kryvyi Rih. I was at the forefront of our defense in Dnipropetrovsk. Listened to reports from commanders, thanked on behalf of all Ukrainians our boys and girls who are holding the region.

Awarded Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Colonel Oleh Hrydzhevych — tank battalion commander, with a "Golden Star." Thanks to his personal bravery, the unit emerged from encirclement without losses and destroyed a Russian sabotage group in battle. A very strong person, it can be felt.

Visited the famous Mechnikov hospital in Dnipro to personally thank our special heroes — all doctors and nurses who have been saving our military and civilians since February 24 and since 2014. They are extremely successful on their front line and gave a second life to thousands of our people.

Awarded state awards to our defenders recovering from injuries.

I am truly very grateful for all the warm words I heard today in Dnipro, on the frontline. Thank you especially to you.

Today I addressed the parliament of Slovenia. Every day and under any circumstances we work at maximum capacity on the foreign policy front. And by the way, this was already my 24th address to parliaments of EU countries and the first one made near the frontline. I hope that another three EU countries will feel that these addresses — are not about politics but about defending our freedom — a shared one, incidentally — so we will come to a day when I can say: all 27 parliaments of the European Union hear the fight for freedom better than any Russian manipulations.

Also held all necessary meetings with leaders of Dnipropetrovsk as a whole and Kryvyi Rih district in particular — both military and civilian. Security, economy, social issues. Officials must do not just everything possible but much more than even possible to guarantee people a normal standard of living under such war conditions.

Returning to the capital.

Of course, I want to say two more things.

I congratulated today General Zaluzhnyi on his birthday. Wished him good health and wished us all the most important — victory. Thank you for your service!

And tomorrow, July 9, actually — already after sunset today, the Muslim community will start celebrating Kurban-Bayram. This is a special holiday that teaches sacrifice and directs people to good deeds. I want to greet now all Muslims in Ukraine and around the world and wish for peace to prevail and evil to always lose. And the sooner, the better. The Crimean Tatar people especially look forward to this year when we will welcome each other in free Crimea.
