With the support of the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers, families of four deceased Ukrainian football players received financial assistance from FIFPro.

In March, President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers Igor Gatullyn, upon the request of members of the board, leadership of the UAF, UPL and PFL, turned to the leadership of the International Federation of Association Football Players (FIFPro) with a plea for financial assistance to the families of four Ukrainian football players killed by Russian occupiers — Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Vitaliy Sapyla of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serviceman of the 95th Separate Assault Brigade Arthur Grytsenko, professional footballers Oleksandr Suchenk and Dmytro Martynenko.

FIFPro, a full member since 2012 of which is the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers, responded to the appeal of the Ukrainian football community and provided targeted one-time financial assistance in the amount of 120,000 UAH to each family on June 27, reports the official website of VAFP.

The President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers expressed condolences to the relatives and close ones of the deceased Ukrainian football players and thanked FIFPro for the support provided to their families.

"Firstly, I want to express on behalf of FIFPro, the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers, and all of Ukraine's football family our condolences to the relatives and close ones of the deceased players. This is an irreparable loss, and I understand that no words can ease the pain felt by the families of those who have died.

I hope that the financial assistance provided by FIFPro will help the families during this difficult time. I am very grateful to our colleagues at FIFPro for responding to our appeal and showing solidarity not just in words, but also in action," — said Igor Gatullyn.
