"Ukrainians! Ukrainian women!

Our defenders and our defenderesses!

Today, June 22, is the Day of Sorrow and Honoring the Memory of War Victims. That war. The war that was supposed to remain forever in the history of the 20th century and never repeat itself. But it repeats.

There is no shortage of words today about what Russia did on February 24, the same as the Nazis did on June 22. Much has been said about this. And I want to add only one thing. From the moment of the morning invasion until the defeat of the aggressor, it took 1418 days. We must liberate our land and achieve victory, but faster. Much faster. This is our national goal, and we need to work towards its realization every day. Not just the state, but each citizen, each woman — at whatever level possible.

Since early morning, I have been on a telephone marathon for a positive decision regarding Ukraine's candidacy. Today — 11 leaders.

Bulgaria. Thanked Prime Minister of Bulgaria Petkov for supporting Ukraine and the development of all of Europe with our participation.

Latvia. Discussed with Prime Minister Kariņš cooperation between our countries, between Ukraine and the European Union, as well as our joint opportunities to protect Europe from crises caused by Russia, especially in terms of food security.

Greece. Was glad to hear words of sincere support for Ukraine. We have a common understanding with Prime Minister Mitsotakis about the historical importance of the decision expected from the European Council.

Sweden. Discussed with Prime Minister Andersson prospects for bilateral cooperation and interaction at the level of European structures.

Estonia. Thanked Prime Minister Kallas for her consistent support for Ukraine. We discussed priorities in our cooperation and the agenda in the context of NATO's Madrid summit next week.

Czech Republic. Fruitful conversation with Prime Minister Fiala. Discussed priorities during the Czech Republic's presidency in the European Council over the next six months. And now I am confident that the Czech vote will be for Ukraine.

Belgium. Thanked Prime Minister De Croo for supporting our European perspective and invited him to visit Ukraine. Hope that Belgium will take an important part in post-war reconstruction of our country.

Austria. Grateful to Chancellor Nehammer for political and humanitarian support, for understanding the needs of Ukraine. We can do a lot to develop relations between our countries.

Slovenia. Agreed with Prime Minister Golob that we can strengthen cooperation between our countries. Thanked him for consistent support for Ukraine's candidacy.

Moldova. Spoke with President Sandu. Mutually supported each other the day before an important European Council meeting. And will help each other to go faster down this path towards the European Union.

Today, I spoke again with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda. Fully supported him in connection with the situation around the Kaliningrad region of Russia.

Tomorrow, I will continue this marathon — we must ensure maximum support for our country. A key European decision is expected tomorrow evening.

Occupants hit Mykolaiv with seven rockets. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but five people were injured. There were strikes in the Kharkiv region as well. There are victims. The border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions were shelled.

On the Donbas front — massive air and artillery attacks. The occupiers' goal remains unchanged — they want to destroy the entire Donbas step by step. All of it. Lisichansk, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk — any city must be turned into a complete ruin like Mariupol.

That is why we keep emphasizing the need for accelerated arms supplies to Ukraine. We urgently need parity on the battlefield to stop this demonic army and push it beyond the borders of Ukraine.

I am grateful to the United States for their help in investigating war crimes on Ukrainian territory. Thankful to Mr. Eli Rosenbaum for his readiness to join the pursuit of justice — he is one of those American investigators who managed to expose many Nazis. Our joint investigative team must be as strong as possible so that no Russian criminal escapes punishment. And this will be one of the greatest contributions in our time to protecting international law. Just as the Nuremberg trials concluded on September 1, 1939 and June 22, 1941, they should conclude in a fair court with February 24, 2022. Russia must answer for all the evil it has brought to Ukraine.

Signed a new decree today on awarding our heroes. State awards were conferred upon 195 participants of combat operations, including 17 posthumously.

Eternal memory to all whose lives the occupiers took!

Glory to each and every one who fights for Ukraine!

Preparing for a historic European Council decision, only hours remain until it.

Glory to Ukraine!"
