President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, outlining the priorities of our country's foreign policy and detailing the terrorist actions of the Russian aggressor.

A long and very eventful day has come to an end. Since early morning, I have been focusing on external affairs. And immediately on two crucial fronts - defense and Europe.

Just concluded a conversation with Boris Johnson. Key topics - military support and coordination of steps ahead of important meetings in June.

Today, there are many news about the third meeting in "Ramstein" format. This is a format for working with defense ministers of partner countries who determine packages of support for our country. And the news is indeed good. We expect an increase in this support.

By the way, we have another signal that military support for Ukraine will be ongoing. Within "Ramstein," Britain and Denmark announced a special donor conference to be held in Copenhagen in August. Fourteen countries are already pre-invited.

I had an important conversation today with US President Biden. The United States announced a new strengthening of our defense - a new support package worth one billion dollars. This is coastal defense, artillery, modern missile systems. We will wait and see.

Thankful for this support, it is especially weighty primarily for our defense on the Donbas front.

Also thankful for the leadership in mobilizing help from all partners. There's also a new humanitarian aid package for Ukraine - worth a quarter of a billion dollars US.

Discussed with President Biden as well the tactical situation on the battlefield and how to speed up our victory. Sanctions, policy, economic interaction - preparing for new steps.

Invited to speak at NATO summit in Madrid, also at "Group of Seven" meeting.

Today there was a special summit with leaders of the Western Balkans - prime ministers of Montenegro and Albania came to Kyiv, while Prime Minister of North Macedonia joined by video link. Ukraine received a weighty decision on support from these countries for our candidate status in the European Union - three countries issued such a joint statement.

In fact, we have come so close to obtaining this status that it was unimaginable even just a few years ago. Ukraine did everything possible to obtain candidate status.

And today in my address to the Czech Parliament I emphasized that the answer to us regarding our candidacy - will be an answer not only to Ukraine, but also to itself - its own future, the future of the European Union.

Of course, the Russian state would not be what it is if it simply watched calmly at our foreign policy successes. Again strengthening gas pressure on Europe. Again intensifying shelling of Ukrainian positions and peaceful towns.

Today they hit Mykolaiv, today they hit communities in Dnipropetrovsk region, today they hit Kharkiv region. Russian propagandists have become more active in spreading disinformation to provoke distrust in Ukraine. But I don't believe that any of these disinformation attempts will succeed.

We are holding the defense on Donbas. And by the way, in all international contacts I hear admiration for our defenders and defenders' actions. The world really wants to learn from Ukrainians how to fight and win. In 112 days of this war, the Ukrainian army has proven that bravery and wisdom on the battlefield together with tactical skill to outmaneuver the enemy yield significant results even despite Russia's military superiority in numbers of soldiers and equipment.

Of course, we will do everything possible to counter these advantages. Every day I fight for Ukraine to receive the necessary weapons and equipment.

But bravery, wisdom, and tactical skills cannot be imported. They are in our heroes.

Signed another decree on awarding Ukrainian warriors. 284 servicemen were awarded state honors, of which 60 posthumously.
