Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 26, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The ninetieth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone and continues to deliver rocket and air strikes on infrastructure targets within Ukraine.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions, military units of the armed forces of the republic of Belarus are conducting command-staff and mobilization exercises with their personnel. The possibility of missile and air strikes from the territory of this country remains.

The consequences of the deployment on the territory of the republic of Belarus of Russian Federation military units that were involved in combat operations on Ukrainian territory are being liquidated. Measures to prevent illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition, which could have been lost by Russian units, are being taken.

On the Northern Direction, the enemy is conducting measures to cover the area of the Ukrainian-Russian border in Bryansk and Kursk regions and preventing our troops from redeploying to other threatening directions.

In the border areas of the mentioned Russian regions, the heightened level of terrorist threat has been extended until June 8 of this year.

The enemy shelled with mortars and artillery the areas of the populated places Bachivsk and Krasnopillya in Sumy region and the populated place Zarychche in Chernihiv region.

On the Slobozhansky Direction, the enemy is conducting systematic high-intensity fire strikes on areas where our troops are concentrated. Also, civilian infrastructure was shelled in the areas of the populated places Terovo and Cherkaсky Tyskhy.

The enemy is trying to improve its tactical situation near Izium and resume an offensive towards the city of Sloviansk. Shelled with artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, and tanks the areas of populated places Chepyl, Dovgenke, Kurulka, Bogorodichne, and Studenok.

On the Donetsk Direction, the main efforts of the enemy are focused on taking full control over the populated place Lyman and attempts to improve its tactical situation near Severodonetsk and Avdiivka. The enemy actively uses radio-electronic warfare means in the Bakhmutsky and Avdiyivsky Directions. Used artillery and strike aviation against positions of our units and civilian infrastructure in the region.

The enemy is trying to consolidate in the Severodonetsk area. Conducted assault actions towards the populated place Ustynivka, without success.

On the Bakhmutsky Direction, combat operations are ongoing. The enemy unsuccessfully attempted an offensive in the areas of Komishuvaha, Lipovo and Nagirne.

On the Avdiyivsky Direction the occupiers conducted assault actions in the areas of Krasnogorivka, Kamianka, Avdiivka and Pisky, without success.

On the Novopavlivsky Direction, the enemy attempted an offensive in the area of the populated place Zolota Niva, retreated with losses.

On the Zaporizhzhia Direction, the enemy shelled with artillery the areas of the populated places Novopil, Charivne, Orikhyv and Kamianka.

On the Mykolaivsky Direction, the enemy is trying to improve its tactical situation and secure access to administrative borders of Kherson region. Conducted assault actions in the area of the populated place Tavriyske, without success.

On the Kryvyi Rih Direction, Russian occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to conduct assault operations in the area of the populated place Mykolayivka. Shelled civilian infrastructure near Osokorivka, Trudolyubivka and Dobrianka.

The enemy continued to fortify its positions in the areas of the populated places Chornobaivka, Pravdine, Zorya.

Over the past day on the Donetsk and Luhansk Directions, ten enemy attacks were repelled, four tanks, two artillery systems, a BMP, an automobile, and one piece of special equipment were destroyed. Anti-aircraft units destroyed five UAVs of the "Orlan-10" type.

Strategic aviation of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered strikes on enemy positions — destroyed personnel and up to ten pieces of light armored vehicles. Our countermeasures intercepted and shot down two cruise missiles.
