President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, emphasizing the need to increase pressure on Russia from the international community and spoke about continuing the restoration of de-occupied territories.

"Unbreakable people of our most beautiful country!

Our defenders, our defenderesses!

Today we can report on the 200th downed Russian military aircraft. So much aviation Russia has not lost in any war for decades. And also Russia has lost nearly 27 thousand soldiers, and many of them— young conscripts. Russia has lost over three thousand tanks, armored combat vehicles, a large number of ordinary military vehicles, helicopters, drones, and all its prospects as a state.

And for what is all this? So that another Lenin monument could stand a little longer in temporarily occupied Henichesk? There is no other result in Russia and there will not be.

In fact, nobody can predict today how long the war will last. But we are doing everything to liberate our land quickly. This is our priority—every day working so that the war is shorter.

However, this depends, unfortunately, not only on our people who are already giving their all. It also depends on our partners. On European countries, on countries around the world.

I am grateful to everyone working to strengthen sanctions against Russia and increase defensive and financial support for us, for Ukraine. This is the only recipe for protecting freedom in the face of Russian aggression. And for Western states this is not just an expense. It's not about accounting. It's about the future.

The world has already recognized that Russia’s blockade of our ports and this war are causing a major food crisis. Even Russian officials openly threaten the world with hunger in dozens of countries. And what could be the consequences of such famine? To what political instability and migration flows would it lead? How much would then have to be spent to overcome the consequences?

These are the questions that need to be answered by those who are trying to slow down sanction packages against Russia or delay aid to Ukraine.

Every day of war is an intensification of global threats, new opportunities for Russia to provoke instability in other regions of the world, not just here in Europe. And it's more lives lost in Ukraine—Ukrainians and Ukrainian women who are giving their all so that everyone can live freely. I emphasize this: everyone, including in those countries where they still find time to squabble instead of fully committing to help.

Therefore, there needs to be significantly more pressure on Russia. And I say this very openly and daily to everyone who is responsible for it.

We continue the restoration of de-occupied territories in Ukraine. As of today, 1015 populated areas have been de-occupied—this is an increase of six over the past week. We are returning electricity, water supply, communication, transport, social services there. This is important.

Of course, we remember every city and community that is still under occupation. Kherson, Melitopol, Berdyansk, Enerhodar, Mariupol and all cities and towns of the Donbas... The gradual liberation of the Kharkiv region proves that we will not leave anyone to the enemy.

We do not stop trying to save our people from Mariupol and "Azovstal". Currently, very difficult negotiations are underway about the next stage of evacuation—evacuating the seriously injured, doctors. It involves a large number of people. Of course, we are doing everything to evacuate everyone else as well, every defender and defenderess. We have already involved all around the world who can be the most influential mediators for these talks.

Already 37 foreign representations have resumed their work in Kyiv. And I am grateful to them all because this is 37 proofs that Ukraine stands firmly and has prospects, unlike the Russian Federation. I am confident that soon more foreign representations will return to the capital.

It's time for Ukrainian businesses that have not yet resumed operations, even though they can do so on safe territory, to get back to work as well. Ensuring jobs and adapting economic activity to current conditions is also a major job in defense of our future.

As usual, I signed an order awarding our heroes. State awards were conferred upon 212 members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Eternal glory to every one who defends our country!

Eternal memory to all those who gave their lives for Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!"
