Tuesday, May 10 in Austria marks the start of the second qualifying stage tournament for Euro-2022 (WU-19) in Group A with the participation of Ukraine's women's youth national team.

We remind you that in December 2021, the draw for the second round of qualification for the European Championship among women under 19 took place. According to its results, Ukraine's WU-19 team was placed in Group A4, where they will face teams from Austria, Norway, and Bulgaria.

To participate in this stage, coach of the blue-and-yellow Valeriy Palamarzhuk called up 18 players.

The delegation departed from Kyiv on May 7. Since most girls represent foreign clubs, the coaching staff met with one group of players in Krakow, Poland, and another in Trnava, Slovakia. In the evening of May 8, they greeted a flight from the USA at Vienna Airport with Yuliya Khristyuk and Nadia Ivanchenko. Yesterday, the team arrived in Bad Hall, conducted training and theoretical sessions, and today will play their opening match against Norway.

"I hope we have enough time not only to restore game connections but also enrich our knowledge about main rivals — Bulgarians, as we will face them in the final round, — says coach of Ukraine's women's youth national team Valeriy Palamarzhuk. — So far, indeed, we know little about our main competitors. We only have a video recording of their match against Lithuania last year, in which they climbed the ranks. We know that recently Bulgarians played two friendly matches with Romanians, one of their players plays in Germany. However, I believe in my girls and am convinced that they will not let us down."
