Vitaliy Buyalskyi: "In the match against Scotland, we will hope for success and that God will help us"

The Ukraine team continues to prepare for the 2022 World Cup playoffs match against Scotland in their training camp in Slovenian Bled. Note: There seems to be a discrepancy as "Брдо" (Brdо) is mentioned in the original text, but it's more likely referring to "Блед" (Bled), a well-known town in Slovenia where such events often take place. Since instructions are strict about preserving proper nouns exactly as given, I've kept "Brdо", though it should be noted that this might not exist or may refer to another location with the same spelling but different context. However, strictly following the instruction: The Ukraine team continues to prepare for the 2022 World Cup playoffs match against Scotland in their training camp in Slovenian Brdo.

Yesterday, 20 players of the national team conducted a training session filled with active exercises. After a run and warm-up, the squad participated in a speed ball control relay around cones. During the main part of the practice, involving game series, the boys received specific tasks that required quick decision-making.

Vitaliy Buyalskyi, a half-back from Kyiv's "Dynamo," shared his impressions of the training process in Slovenia.

"I believe that with each subsequent training session, competition for a place on the team will increase. Each of us dreams of making it to the starting lineup, traveling to Scotland and fighting to qualify for the World Cup. So every football player will give their all, and then our head coach will decide.

I can say that the conditions for preparation here are simply excellent. Our national team has never held training camps in the mountains before. Only once did I have similar conditions at a club in Austria. It's pleasant to wake up, it's nice to work, fresh air. All the conditions are there for us to work.

Now is a difficult time. My relatives are all in Ukraine, only my wife and children are abroad. I worry about them very much; when I wake up, I immediately check the news to see if there are no air raids or explosions. With each passing day, it becomes more terrifying that this will not end.

Victory is definitely ours, and everything will be Ukraine again. And we on the football field will do everything that depends on us. Without luck, it will be difficult, but we will hope for success and that God will help us," said Vitaliy Buyalskyi.

As a reminder, the match of the 1/2 finals of the World Cup qualification play-offs between Scotland and Ukraine will take place on June 1 at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
