Note for your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 7, 2022, regarding the Russian military invasion into our country.

The seventy-third day has begun of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military aggression.

The enemy continues to conduct a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

The adversary does not cease offensive actions in the Eastern Operational Zone with the aim of establishing complete control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as maintaining a land corridor between these territories and occupied Crimea.

On the Polesie Direction, the enemy did not conduct active operations. During checks of combat readiness of units performing tasks to cover sections of the border with Ukraine, it is not excluded that hidden rotations of the specified units may be carried out.

On the Northern Direction, the adversary did not carry out active actions. Engineering and fortification works are ongoing in the border areas of Kursk region.

On the Slobozhanskyi Direction, the enemy continues artillery shelling of populated areas near the city of Kharkiv. On the Izium Direction, it conducts aerial reconnaissance using UAVs to clarify the positions of our troops.

In the vicinity of the villages of Tsirkuni and Ruski Tishky, the occupiers carried out the demolition of three automobile bridges with the aim of slowing down counter-offensive actions by defense units.

On the Donetsk and Tavriyskyi Directions, the enemy continues to conduct artillery shelling along the line of contact and uses operational-tactical aviation for delivering rocket-bomb strikes on our troops' positions.

In Mariupol, the adversary continues to block units of defense forces in the vicinity of "Azovstal". It carried out assault actions aimed at taking control over the territory of the plant.

On the Southern Buzhskyi Direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage using artillery on our troops' positions. Conducted strikes against civilian infrastructure in the city of Mykolaiv with rockets and multiple rocket launch systems.

In the populated area of Ivan-Kepine, units of defense forces destroyed a warehouse containing ammunition and up to twenty pieces of enemy military equipment.

In the temporarily occupied city of Kherson, occupiers are implementing various measures to ensure the activities of Russian-occupation troops and support for the Russian occupation regime. Increased number of checkpoints and mobile patrols.

Over the previous day, units of anti-aircraft defense forces shot down fourteen UAVs of the "Orlan" type.

In the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, defenders of Ukraine repelled eight enemy attacks over the past day, destroying three tanks, eight artillery systems, seven pieces of armored combat equipment, one vehicle, and three units of specialized engineering equipment.
