Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 28, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The sixty-fourth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion has begun.

A full-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine is ongoing.

The enemy continues offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone with the aim of establishing complete control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and maintaining a land corridor to temporarily occupied Crimea.

The adversary is intensifying the pace of the offensive operation. Intensive artillery fire is being conducted by Russian occupiers on practically all fronts. The highest activity is observed on the Slovozhensky and Donetsk fronts.

On the Volynsky and Polesky fronts, significant changes in the activities of enemy units have not been noted.

By maintaining a corresponding force, the enemy is trying to ensure the retention of reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Northern front and prevent their movement to the Eastern Operational Zone.

On the Slovozhensky front, enemy units continue to inflict blows and artillery shelling on the city of Kharkiv.

The main efforts of the occupiers are concentrated on the Iziumskiy front. With available units, the enemy is trying to conduct an offensive in the directions of Sulyhivka — Nova Dmitrivka and Andriyivka — Velyka Komishova.

To strengthen the advancing group, Russian occupiers have additionally moved paratrooper units to the city of Izium, as well as up to 500 units of equipment.

On the Donetsk front, enemy units continue active operations on the line of contact. Main efforts are focused around the encirclement of Ukrainian Defense Forces units.

To achieve this goal on the Lyman front, the enemy has improved tactical positions, attempting to advance towards the town of Lyman. Aggressors are conducting preparatory actions for crossing the river Seversky Donets.

On the Severodonetsk front the enemy is advancing on the town of Orekhove.

On the Avdiyivsky front, with the aim of capturing Mariinka and Ocheretyno, the enemy continues intensive artillery fire.

On the Kurakhivsky front, under artillery support, occupiers are advancing on the directions of Stary Mayor — Velyka Novosilka and Lubymivka — Zelenoye Pole.

On the Tavriysky front, enemy units continue to conduct demonstrative actions and maneuvers with the aim of misleading and preventing our forces from being redeployed to other fronts.

Occupiers continue to use the Melitopol airport for basing and flights of Su-25 strike aircraft, Ka-52 attack helicopters, and Mi-8 transport-helicopters.

On the Southern Bug front, enemy units are concentrating their main efforts on the directions of Kherson — Mykolaiv and Kherson — Kryvyi Rih.

The enemy, as a result of assault operations, has entrenched itself in the vicinity of the town of Tavriyske, attempting to conduct artillery fire on our positions around the towns of Oleksandrivka and Nova Zoria. Around the towns of Stanislav and Molodechno, they are reinforcing units with rocket and field artillery.

To correct and assess the results of artillery shelling, the enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance in the vicinity of the town of Zatoka.

Over the previous day, air defense missile forces and ground troops units hit eight aerial targets: one aircraft, one cruise missile, and six tactical drones.

Russian occupiers continue to suffer losses on land. Only in the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day, six enemy attacks were repelled, five tanks, one artillery system, twenty-two units of armored equipment, one vehicle, and one anti-aircraft installation were destroyed.
