General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 27.04.2022)

Note for your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 27, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The sixty-third day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to conduct a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

Offensive operations by the enemy are ongoing in the Eastern Operational Zone with the aim of establishing complete control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as maintaining a land corridor with occupied Crimea.

The highest activity of the occupation troops is observed on the Sloviansk and Donetsk axes.

The enemy is taking measures to replenish its units that suffered losses during combat operations with equipment. This includes removing it from storage at military district warehouses and bases. The transportation of this equipment into Ukraine's territory is usually carried out by rail transport.

Occupants continue to inflict rocket strikes on residential areas within the territory of Ukraine.

On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy continues to carry out air attacks and artillery shelling of the infrastructure of the city of Kharkiv.

On the Izium axis, units from the 1st Tank Army, 20th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District, 35th Combined Arms Army, and 68th Corps of the Eastern Military District, as well as airborne troops, are conducting offensive operations towards Barvenkovo. The enemy has occupied the northern outskirts of the village of Velyka Komyshevaha, as well as taken control of the populated area of Zavody.

In order to strengthen their forces, occupiers have transferred two battalion tactical groups from the 76th Airborne Assault Division from territory within Belgorod Oblast to the city of Izium. Additionally, in areas of populated places in Belgorod Oblast, the enemy has deployed two divisions of OTRK "Iskander-M" missiles.

On the Donetsk axis, units of the enemy are conducting active operations almost along the entire line of confrontation. The main efforts of the enemy are focused on carrying out offensive operations on the Severodonetsk, Popasna, and Kupyansk axes with the aim of taking full control over Popasna, Rubizhne, and developing an advance towards Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, and Svyatoshivka.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy established control over the populated area of Zariachye, carried out assault operations in the vicinity of the village of Yamopol.

On the Severodonetsk axis, occupiers have established control over the populated area of Novotoshkivske and are advancing towards the villages of Nyzhne and Orihove.

On the Mariupol axis, the enemy is carrying out massive artillery strikes and blockading our units in the vicinity of the Azovstal plant. In the city, occupiers continue to conduct filtration measures regarding civilian population.

On the Southern Bug and Tavrian axes, the enemy uses available forces and means for concentrating main efforts on holding previously occupied lines and carrying out artillery strikes against our positions. On the Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhzhia axes, the enemy is trying to improve its tactical position. To this end, it conducts redeployment of units, increases the system of artillery fire, as well as carries out aerial reconnaissance.

With forces from the Russian National Guard, occupiers are conducting filtration measures in the areas of populated places Kiselivka and Stanislav of Kherson Oblast.

On the Tavrian axis, enemy units are carrying out engineering equipment of positions and replenishment of supplies.

On the Volynian, Polesian, and Northern axes, no significant changes have been noted.

Our military forces carried out seven air strikes in the previous day: one Su-25 aircraft, one Ka-52 helicopter, three tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and two cruise missiles.

Only on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day nine enemy attacks were repelled, destroying nine tanks, eleven artillery systems, four units of special equipment, seventeen units of armored vehicles, three units of special engineering equipment, sixteen units of automotive equipment, four fuel tankers, and one anti-aircraft installation.

Military transport aviation, destruction, bombing, and assault aviation of the Air Force continue to perform tasks in Ukrainian airspace.

During sudden air raids, Russian occupiers suffer significant losses on their positions. As a result of aerial strikes, much enemy equipment and manpower was destroyed.

We will report on the general losses of the occupiers in a separate report shortly.

We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
