Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 26, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The sixty-second day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military aggression has begun.

The enemy continues to conduct a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

Offensive actions by the enemy are ongoing in the Eastern Operational Zone with the aim of destroying the units of the Combined Forces, establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and securing a land corridor between these territories and the occupied Crimea.

On the Volynian and Polesian Directions the situation, position, and nature of enemy actions have not significantly changed. The enemy did not conduct active operations on the mentioned directions. Certain units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are rotating to perform tasks for covering the Ukrainian-Belarusian border area in Brest and Gomel regions.

On the Northern Direction signs of the enemy forming an assault group to resume offensive operations have not been detected. In adjacent areas of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions, the enemy has reinforced border security and checkpoints, conducts engineering fortifications of positions. Russian occupiers in border areas have strengthened anti-sabotage measures.

On the Slobozhansky Direction the enemy is reinforcing military units, continues partial encirclement of the city of Kharkiv and conducts artillery strikes on our troops' units and critical infrastructure objects.

The aggressors are attempting to conduct an offensive towards the populated area of Zavody. Combat operations are ongoing.

On the Donetsk and Taurian Directions the enemy is moving command points closer to the line of combat engagement.

The enemy conducts artillery strikes on our troops' positions using mortars, field artillery, and multiple rocket launchers along the entire front. Thus:

on the Severodonetsk Direction, the enemy is conducting combat operations in the area of the populated place Rubizhne;

on the Popasna Direction, they are attempting to capture Popasna, with ongoing battles;

on the Avdiivka Direction, the enemy is attempting offensive operations but has not succeeded;

on the Kurakhove Direction, unsuccessfully conducted offensive actions towards populated places Novomikhailovka and Mariinka;

on the Zaporizhzhia Direction, the enemy conducts offensive combat operations in the direction of the populated place Trudolyubivka, with ongoing battles.

The enemy is conducting massive artillery strikes and blockades of our units in the area of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

On the South Buzhsky Direction the enemy conducted sporadic shelling of our units along the entire front line. Reconnaissance activity is being fixed in the administrative border zone of Mykolaiv region.

In the area of the populated place Velyka Oleksandrivka, Kherson region, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a warehouse with ammunition and a large number of enemy personnel (over 70 killed). The exact number of casualties is being verified.

Also, units of occupiers suffered losses in personnel in the areas of populated places Novodmitrovka and Bilyusov.

Russian occupiers continue to loot local populations on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are attempting to conduct air reconnaissance over the territory of Odesa region. They suffer losses.

By the Air Force Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ten aerial targets were struck in the previous day: three aircraft, four tactical-level UAVs and three cruise missiles.

In the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day six enemy attacks were repelled, destroying four tanks, five artillery systems, thirteen units of armored vehicles, fifteen units of automotive equipment, two fuel tankers and one anti-aircraft installation.
