Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 21, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The fifty-seventh day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

A full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our state continues. The enemy is attempting to continue offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone with the goal of establishing complete control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The enemy continues to deliver rocket and bomb strikes on military and civilian infrastructure throughout Ukraine.

On the Volyn, Polesie, and Northern Directions the enemy did not conduct active operations, no changes in the situation or position of his troops were observed.

On the Slobozhansky Direction the enemy continues to build up technical support systems.

In Balakleya, wounded Russian servicemen began to be placed in the city polyclinic, despite the fact that the hospital for Russian soldiers was equipped in a local music school building. The placement of occupiers in the city polyclinic indicates a significant increase in the number of casualties and problems with their further medical evacuation.

The enemy continues partial blockades and shelling of the city of Kharkiv.

On the Donetsk and Tavriysky Directions the enemy is still conducting artillery strikes along the entire line of confrontation.

In the Kherson region, occupiers are planning to organize forced mobilization of the population for war against Ukraine. At the same time, the invaders have set as their goal completely stopping humanitarian support for the region from the side of Ukrainian authorities. The terror of the population continues.

Thus, in the village of Zolota Balka, Kherson Oblast, representatives of Russian occupying forces held a meeting with local residents where they stated that "green corridors" would no longer exist and people were forbidden to leave the populated area. In addition, warned that in case of shelling their positions by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian occupiers will start shelling the populated area. The occupiers continue house-to-house searches.

On the Southern Buzhsky Direction the enemy is conducting artillery strikes on our troops' positions.

By units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the previous day, four aerial targets were destroyed: three unmanned aerial vehicles and one cruise missile.

In the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day nine enemy attacks were repelled, one tank was destroyed, ten units of armored and two units of automotive equipment, one artillery system, two units of special engineering equipment, a surface-to-air missile complex and an enemy ammunition depot.
