Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 12, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The forty-eighth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

A full-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our state is ongoing.

The enemy continues to attempt to complete regrouping and moving units to areas of concentration in the Belgorod and Voronezh regions of the Russian Federation, as well as relocating air force aviation to airports located within close proximity to eastern borders of Ukraine.

Russian occupiers, disregarding norms of International Humanitarian Law, continue to use tactics of placing equipment and manpower directly in civilian housing. For example, on temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, the occupiers are using premises of agricultural enterprises, objects of energy and social infrastructure, central areas of populated points. Cases have been noted where the enemy is conducting combat operations in civilian clothing.

On the Volynian and Polesian Directions the enemy did not conduct active actions. No changes in the situation or activities of enemy units on the indicated directions were recorded.

On the Northern Direction the enemy is completing redeployment of separate units to the eastern operational zone. The movement of units of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District to designated areas in Belgorod and Voronezh regions continues.

On the Slobozhanian Direction enemy forces continue partial blockading of the city of Kharkiv. In the vicinity of Izium, the enemy is conducting combat operations with separate units from the 1st Tank and 20th Combined Arms Armies. Conducting aerial reconnaissance to identify positions of our military units and determine their movement routes.

On the Donetskian and Tauride Directions the enemy is conducting combat operations and holding designated lines with forces from the Southern Military District. Moving additional units for conducting combat actions on Ukrainian territory.

Signs of strengthening anti-aircraft defense systems in the areas of populated points Melitopol and Illovaisk have been identified.

It is likely that, in the future, the enemy will attempt to take control over Mariupol, capture Popasna, and conduct offensive operations towards Kryvyi Rih with the aim of exiting onto administrative borders of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Southern Bug Direction the enemy is holding designated lines with forces from units of the Southern Military District. Conducting replenishment of regular losses in manpower and equipment. Attempting to ensure survivability of their command points. The enemy does not give up attempts to consolidate on administrative borders of Kherson Oblast.

In the waters of the Black Sea and Azov Sea naval groupings of the enemy continue to carry out tasks related to isolating the combat zone, conducting reconnaissance, providing fire support for ground units.

There is a threat of the enemy using rocket armaments.

On the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, our military repelled six attacks by the enemy over the past day, destroying four tanks, five armored units, twenty-six units of automotive equipment, and eight artillery systems of the enemy.

By the Air Force Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the previous day, seven aerial targets were engaged: one aircraft, two helicopters, and four unmanned aerial vehicles.
