Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 12.00 on April 4, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The fortieth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion continues.

The enemy is continuing a full-scale armed aggression against our state. The command of the adversary, with the aim of preparing to conduct an offensive operation in eastern Ukraine, is carrying out the deployment of elements of the operational structure for the offensive grouping and increasing the management system. Occupying troops are conducting redeployments and attempting to improve tactical positions on certain fronts in southern Ukraine. The formation and movement of additional units of the Russian Federation for participation in combat operations on Ukrainian territory continue.

On the Volyn Front, there have been no changes, with military units of the Republic of Belarus using up to four battalion tactical groups continuing to perform tasks to cover the border.

On the Polesie Front, there remains a high probability of rocket and bomb strikes on military and civilian infrastructure objects by enemy aircraft operating from Belarusian airfields.

Movement is observed of units of the eastern military district and airborne troops from the territory of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation. The movement of armaments, military equipment, and personnel is carried out by rail and air transport.

According to available information, certain subunits of the 35th Combined Arms Army (Brest) and the 36th Combined Arms Army (Ulan-Ude) of the eastern military district are located in the areas of the populated places Rechitsa and Yampil (Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus).

On the Northern Front, the enemy has completed the withdrawal of units from the Central Military District to the territory of Kursk Oblast and has begun their further movement.

On the Slobozhanskyi Front, the enemy continues to block Kharkiv, conducting artillery shelling of the city, redeploying troops. Strengthening anti-aircraft cover for important objects in the area of Belgorod and areas of troop concentration on the Kharkiv front.

To clarify positions of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is conducting reconnaissance in the vicinity of the populated place Barvenkove using UAVs. Also attempting to restore a bridge across the river Seversky Donets near the city of Izium. Near the populated place Brakhivka with forces up to a tank company tactical group, the enemy conducted combat reconnaissance but was unsuccessful and withdrew to previously occupied positions.

There remains a high probability of aerial and missile strikes on civilian objects in Kharkiv, preparations for an offensive towards Sloviansk continue.

On the Donetsk and Tavriyskyi Fronts, the main efforts of the enemy are concentrated around populated places such as Rubizhne, Popasna, preparing to launch an attack on Severodonetsk, as well as gaining full control over Mariupol. Today, he struck it with 8 air strikes; street fighting continues. Ukrainian defenders and defenders hold the city's defense.

At the same time, the enemy is completing redeployment and replacement of units that have lost offensive capabilities in order to restore active offensive operations.

On the Southern Buzhskyi Front, our troops are pushing back occupiers on the territory of Kherson. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance around Mykolaiv using UAVs.

In the Black Sea and Azov Operational Zones, activities of the naval grouping of the adversary in the waters of the Black Sea have decreased due to difficult weather conditions (storm up to 4 points). The rest of the enemy's naval forces are performing tasks in designated areas.
