UEFA announced the date for the draw of the final tournament of Euro-2022 among U-17 teams (players born in 2005). The ceremony will take place in Israel at the Daniel Herzliya hotel on Wednesday, April 6 (start - 12:30 PM Kyiv time).

As of today, 14 out of 16 tournament participants are known. Besides the Israeli team, which received a direct entry into the final stage as hosts, these are winners and best runners-up from the elite round - Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Serbia, Turkey, France, Sweden, Scotland. The last two finalists will be determined in April based on the results of the mini-tournament in group 6, where Ukraine's youth team will participate.

We remind you that our team faced Italy, Kosovo, and Poland in the elite round qualifier for the 2022 European Championship. The mini-tournament to be hosted by Italy was scheduled from March 23-29. Due to the military aggression against Ukraine, UEFA changed the dates of matches in group 6. Matches involving our team are planned for April 20, 23, and 26.

Euro-2022 (U-17)

The final tournament will take place from May 16 to June 1 in Israel. During the draw, 16 participants (the host nation Israel and the top 15 teams from the elite round) will be divided into four groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.

We remind you that Oleg Kuznetsov's team in the qualifying round secured first place in their group: they lost to Wales (1-3) and then defeated Kazakhstan (3-0) and Portugal (3-2).
