The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has decided to allocate significant funds to help Ukrainian children suffering from Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Members of the UEFA Children's Fund Board and its chairman, Aleksander Čeferin, have approved a decision to allocate funds for children currently in Ukraine as well as those who are refugees in neighboring countries. These funds will be directed towards financing initiatives by member associations and charitable organizations aimed at protecting children's rights. These funds will be used to support initiatives that protect the rights of children.

In addition, the UEFA Children's Fund has allocated 100,000 euros for immediate assistance to Ukrainian children and refugees in Moldova. These funds will be provided to the Football Association of Moldova, which is already collaborating with local humanitarian organizations to provide aid to Ukrainian child refugees arriving in the country.

Part of these funds will be used to supply Ukrainian children's hospitals with medicines and consumables.

"Children are extremely vulnerable during conflicts, and it is our duty to help protect their fundamental rights and health. Thanks to the solidarity of European football and support from our partners, we can provide some of the assistance that children urgently need in Ukraine and neighboring countries," said Aleksander Čeferin.
