Findings of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee Investigation of UEFA

The Ethics and Fair Play Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association has concluded its official investigation into possible irregularities and acts of corruption in the youth teams institute of Ukraine based on materials and journalists' submissions.

Within the scope of the investigation, the Committee conducted a comprehensive review of the case. Specifically, over the course of about a year, extensive work was carried out to conduct surveys among a wide range of individuals: sports journalists, representatives of the coaching staff, team personnel, players, their parents, and agents. To ensure maximum objectivity, modern methods of information verification were applied, including psychophysiological testing using polygraphs.

Based on the results of the investigation, the Committee did not establish facts of corrupt influence on the formation of team rosters or the receipt of undue benefits during interactions with football agents in a specific case that led to the opening of an investigation. However, numerous facts and data obtained during the investigation were handed over to law enforcement agencies and relevant bodies, and some of the revealed information was put into a separate new case, which is ongoing.

The surveyed individuals and parties involved in the official investigation were informed about their obligation to adhere to the Code of Ethics and Fair Play and potential liability for code violations.
