An educational-and-training camp for referees and assistant referees took place in Kyiv for the UPL

From July 15 to 18, a training camp for referees and assistant referees who will work on matches in the Ukrainian Premier League for the 2025/2026 season was held in the capital of Ukraine.

From July 15 to 18, a training camp for referees and assistant referees who will work in the Ukrainian Premier League during the 2025/2026 season took place in the capital of Ukraine.

Within the framework of the camp organized by the Referees Committee of the UAF, a series of theoretical and practical sessions were held, as well as mandatory FIFA fitness testing. The program covered all key aspects of refereeing, including:

— pedagogical testing on the Laws of the Game and UEFA video test;

— studying psychological aspects of football referees' work;

— discussion of league regulations and organizational issues related to match conduct in the UPL;

— individual theoretical sessions;

— analysis of current FIFA, UEFA, and UAF requirements and interpretations regarding specific game situations (handball, duels, simulations, delays, offside, etc.);

— role-playing games with elements of physical training;

— familiarization with changes to the Laws of the Game for the 2025/2026 season;

— discussion of current requirements for VAR work and analysis of the operation of the VAR system in all-Ukrainian competitions.

Special attention was paid to raising the standards of refereeing in accordance with the latest recommendations from international institutions.
