Semi-defender of the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Zinchenko together with head coach Serhiy Rebrov participated in a press conference ahead of the friendly tournament match against Canada.

— Oleksandr, you are expected to play two matches against teams that are not very well-known to fans — with Canada and New Zealand. And how good is your understanding of these teams, their playing style?

— First and foremost, we have analyzed the Canadian team, we know there are many quality players who play in Europe. This is a very physically strong team that uses its counterattacks well and runs forward effectively. We managed to watch them and analyze, while we will talk about New Zealand after playing against Canada. 

— Canada invited you to this tournament. What does this invitation mean for you and for Ukrainian football?

— It is very pleasant to be here. I would like to thank all of Canada, everyone who has helped and continues to help Ukrainians. I know there is a large Ukrainian diaspora here. On behalf of myself and the entire team, I want to thank you for the support we have received during these difficult times for Ukraine.

Being here today — it's one satisfaction. And how Canada has welcomed us, and this tournament — it is an honor for us to be here.
