June 3-5 in the city of Vyzhnytsia, Chernivtsi region, a nationwide football tournament for children and teenagers from vulnerable categories across Ukraine called «Caritas Cup»-2025 took place.

The competition was organized by the international charity fund «Caritas Ukraine» with support from the Ukrainian Football Association. Seven teams participated in the tournament: «Caritas Chernivtsi», «Caritas Brody», «Caritas Ternopil», «Caritas Vyzhnytsia», «Caritas Kharkiv», «Caritas Volyn» and «Caritas Lubny».

In addition to football, the children had the opportunity to visit a pizza-making excursion and participate in quests, quizzes, and master classes. The main goal of these competitions was to support children in their desire to play football and realize their potential through the game.

This was a great opportunity to get positive emotions and relieve psychological stress during the war. Additionally, according to the tournament rules, each team had to include at least one girl.

The tournament was attended by the head of the «Education, Formation and Protection of Children» program Zoryana Lukavetska, project manager Iryna Pukhnya, and development department manager Marjan Yasikiv from the Ukrainian Football Association.

According to the regulations, participants were divided into two groups with three and four teams. Matches consisted of two halves of 10 minutes each, with a five-minute break in between.

Teams that took first and second places in their groups met in the semifinals, after which the winners played for third place while the champions faced each other in the final.

— best half-back — Artem Sakalo («Caritas Ternopil»);

— best forward — Kateryna Hermanovich («Caritas Brody»);

— best player — Danylo Korshak («Caritas Lubny»).

All participants were awarded sports equipment from the Ukrainian Football Association and footballs, while winning teams received cups and medals of their respective categories.
