Euro 2025 (U-19) in futsal: Ukraine's youth national team has learned of their opponents in the final tournament

Today, on May 15, the final tournament draw for Euro-2025 (U-19) in futsal took place at Chișinău City Hall in Chișinău.

The Ukrainian U-19 indoor football team, having successfully performed in the main round of Euro 2025 qualification, secured a spot at one of four European championships.

Within Group 5 of the main round of Euro 2025 (U-19) qualification, which was held in the Serbian city of Vrnjačka Banja, the blue-and-yellow team confidently defeated Montenegro (9:2) and the Netherlands (6:2), and in the decisive match narrowly beat the hosts (1:0). Thus, Ukrainians secured first place in their group and qualified for one of four European championships. Euro 2025 will take place from September 28 to October 5 in Chisinau at the «Chisinau Arena».

Today, during the draw, two quartets were formed, with the top two teams from each advancing to the semifinals. 

Group A: Moldova, Portugal, Italy, Ukraine.

Group B: Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Czech Republic.

As a reminder, the inaugural European championship for indoor football among juniors took place in 2019 in Rijeka, the second edition was held in 2022 in Jaén (originally planned for 2021 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and the third one in 2023 in Poreč. The champions have been teams from Spain (20192022) and Portugal (2023).

The Ukrainian team participated in all three final tournaments. In 2019, Vitaliy Odegov's wards secured third place in their group, and in 2022 they reached the semifinals. In 2023, Igor Moskvin's team also made it to the semifinal stage.
