Kyiv "Dynamo" defensive midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko shared his impressions from the final match of the Vbet Cup of Ukraine-2024/2025 against Donetsk "Shakhtar" (1:1, on penalties - 5:6).
"Regarding extra time in cup matches, I believe that the final should be played for 120 minutes. I don't know about earlier stages, but the final match definitely should include extra time."
Today in Zhytomyr there was a great field, and we need to thank those who maintain it. The field is superb; it was pleasant to play on.
In the final minutes, emotions were running high, of course. Not only me but also all the substitutes tried to advise their teammates. But I am a player, not a coach, so the ultimate decisions are his.
Overall, we played well because I did not see any major mistakes," — said Andriy Yarmolenko.
