The Ukrainian U-19 futsal team, having successfully performed in the main round of Euro 2025 qualification, secured a spot at one of four European Championships.

Within Group 5 of the main round of Euro 2025 (U-19) qualification, which was held in the Serbian city of Vrnjačka Banja, the blue-and-yellow team confidently defeated Montenegro (9:2) and the Netherlands (6:2), and narrowly beat the hosts in the decisive match (1:0).

Thus, Ukrainians secured first place in their group and qualified for one of four European Championships. In addition to Ukraine's team, Moldova (hosts), Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Turkey also advanced to the final tournament. Euro 2025 will take place from September 28 to October 5 in Chisinau at the «Chișinău Arena».

The draw is scheduled for today, May 15. The ceremony starts at 9 PM Kyiv time at Chișinău City Hall. Two quartets will be formed (Moldova will occupy position A1, followed by the distribution of teams into positions B1, A2, B2, A3, B3, A4, and B4), with two best teams from each advancing to the semifinals.

As a reminder, the inaugural European Championship for U-19 futsal was held in Rijeka in 2019, the second edition took place in Hainaut (originally planned for 2021 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic) in 2022, and the third one was hosted by Poreč in 2023. The champions have been Spain (2019, 2022) and Portugal (2023).

The Ukrainian team participated in all three final tournaments. In 2019, Vitaliy Odegov's wards secured third place in their group, while in 2022 they were eliminated in the semifinals . In 2023, Igor Moskvin's team also reached the semifinal stage
