Euro 2025 (WU-17): today the Ukrainian women's national team will play their second match in Group A of the second qualifying round

Today, March 11 in Murcia, Spain, the Ukrainian WU-17 women's team will play their second match in the second round of qualification for the 2025 European Championship.

Today, on March 11 in Murcia, Spain, the Ukrainian WU-17 women's team will play their second match in the second qualifying round for the 2025 European Championship. The opponents of the blue and yellow team will be Belgium (kick-off at 6:00 PM Kyiv time).

As a reminder, the Ukrainian WU-17 women's team started their group in Group A with a minimal loss to the current European champions in this age category — Spain (1:2). In turn, the Belgian girls took three points by defeating Iceland — 3:2.

The games are taking place in Murcia, Spain, on the Pinatar Arena and Estadio Nueva Condomina stadiums. 

"The main task is to avoid last place and stay among the strongest," — stated before the tournament head coach of the Ukrainian women's team Lyudmila Lemesko.

Match start times are in Kyiv time.

In the second qualifying round, seven teams will be determined to join the Faroe Islands at the final stage of the European Championship for women under 17 years old, as well as teams that will move from one league to another. The seeding for the draw in the second round was based on the positions held by the teams in the first round.

In League A, seven groups with a total of 28 teams are playing, including seven teams that advanced from League B after the end of the first round. The winners of each group in the second round will earn spots at the final stage, which will take place between May 4 and May 17, 2025. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start the next season (2025/2026) in League B.

In League B, 21 teams are competing across six groups for promotion to League A in the first round of the following tournament.

It should be noted that the EURO-2025 (WU-17) will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 World Cup in the WU-17 category, which will take place from October 17 to November 8 in Morocco.
