In the opening match in San Salvador, Mykola Kostenko's protégés lost to the tournament hosts (4:4, on penalties — 1:3), while in the second match they lost to Portugal (4:5). The Ukrainians concluded their competition with a match against Venezuela.

In the first period, our team twice went ahead thanks to goals from Ivan Glutsyuk and Anton Ross. However, the Venezuelans equalized each time, so the opponents went into halftime tied at 2-2.

The second twelve-minute period turned out to be less fruitful in terms of goals scored. Only once did the blue-and-yellow team manage to score against their opponents' goalposts. Anton Ross netted a brace.

And this goal ultimately proved decisive. In the third period, defense was stronger than attack, and the match ended with Ukraine's victory — 3:2.

This success allowed our team to earn three points and take second place at the El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup 2025, as Portugal, the tournament's early winner, defeated El Salvador (3:2).
