EURO 2025 (U-17): Ukraine opponents in Round 2 determined
On Thursday, December 5, the draw of EURO 2025 U-17 Round 2 took place in Nyon, Switzerland.
A total of 54 teams were divided into groups in two leagues — A and B. Following Round 1, 28 teams were placed in League A, while the remaining 26 teams were placed in League B.
The Ukraine U-17 team (players born in 2008 or later), led by Yuriy Moroz, finished second in their group during the Round 1, defeating Kosovo (4:2) and Kazakhstan (3:0) while losing to Belgium (1:2). Before the Round 2 draw, they were placed in Pot 3, based on the first-round results.
As a result of the draw, Ukraine was placed in Group A1, where they will face Italy, Croatia, and Slovakia.

Group A2: Spain, Austria, Germany, Norway
Group A3: France, Greece, Denmark, Finland
Group A4: Portugal, Serbia, Netherlands, Hungary
Group A5: Czechia, Switzerland, Turkiye, Sweden
Group A6: Belgium, Poland, Iceland, Ireland
Group A7: England, Northern Ireland, Slovenia, Israel
28 teams were placed into seven groups of four teams. The seven group winners from League A will earn the right to join host nation Albania in the final tournament, which will take place from May 19 to June 1, 2025. The seven teams that finish fourth in their groups will be relegated to League B for Round 1 of the EURO 2027 U-19 qualifiers.
League B
Group B1: Romania, North Macedonia, Scotland, Liechtenstein
Group B2: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Armenia, San Marino
Group B3: Montenegro, Latvia, Estonia, Gibraltar
Group B4: Kosovo, Cyprus, Moldova, Andorra
Group B5: Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Malta, Faroe Islands
Group B6: Albania, Wales, Azerbaijan
Group B7: Lithuania, Georgia, Kazakhstan
26 teams were placed into five groups of four teams and two groups of three teams. The seven group winners from League B will be promoted to League A for Round 1 of the EURO 2027 (U-19) qualifiers.
Additionally, EURO 2025 (U-17) will serve as the UEFA qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2025 U-17, which will take place in Qatar with 48 teams.
