The UEFA PLAYMAKERS project proposed by the Ukrainian Football Association was successfully implemented at Kyiv Lyceum No. 243 under the guidance of coaches Roman Shegulyak and Irina Danko.

According to the coaches, for the latest block of sessions with two groups of girls, they used captivating storylines from the animated film "Moana," which added variety and vibrancy to the sports component. All participants were satisfied, having gained pleasant memories and new skills.

"The UEFA PLAYMAKERS program allows girls to improve their physical and psychological qualities, have fun in a team with friends. Thanks to the project, the girls fell in love with football," — noted Roman Shegulyak.

"As a mother, my daughter choosing football was very unexpected, but we supported her. Now I have completely changed my mind. My daughter feels at home in this environment, has become more confident, made friends quickly and found common ground with other girls. The UEFA PLAYMAKERS football project has become part of my child's life," — noted the mother of one of the participants, Anastasia A.

Objectives of the UEFA PLAYMAKERS program implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association:

• to introduce girls to football by creating an environment where fun, friends and football are at the center;
• to introduce a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination (inspired by Disney stories and characters) as a tool for training and learning football skills;
• to refine girls' life skills, basic movement skills, and teach the basics of football to foster lifelong interest in the sport.
