The UEFA PLAYMAKERS project is successfully being implemented in Chernihiv

The UEFA PLAYMAKERS project is successfully implemented at Chernihiv School No. 35 by the Ukrainian Football Association and the Chernihiv Oblast Football Association.

In the region, the project is overseen by well-known teacher and UAF project instructor Tetiana Dzhuman and coordinator from COFA Anatoliy Svystun.

"This unique project provides a fun and safe introduction to football for girls aged five to eight through movement, games, and an innovative storytelling approach featuring Disney heroes. During the sessions, our coaching staff introduces girls to football by creating an environment where fun, friends, and football are at the center."

"We are implementing a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination as a tool for training and skill acquisition. The girls attend the sessions with great pleasure, immersing themselves in a magical world of adventures and fun journeys while combining football exercises and tasks," — noted Tetiana Dzhuman.

Objectives of the UEFA PLAYMAKERS program, which is being implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association:

  • to introduce girls to football by creating an environment where fun, friends, and football are at the center;
  • to implement a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination (inspired by Disney stories and characters) as a tool for training and skill acquisition in football;
  • to refine girls' life skills, basic movement skills, and teach them the fundamentals of football to foster lifelong interest in the sport.
