Officialy. UAF Executive Committee meeting held

On September 13, the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) convened and passed several decisions.

In particular, the Executive Committee approved:

Amendments to the Regulations of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) Championship for the 2024/2025 season, specifically Section 5, Article 10, Part 10.6, now reads as follows:

“10.6 In the event a team withdraws from the UPL after the playoff stage but before the new season starts, the following provisions apply:

10.6.1. The team that finished 13th in the final UPL standings and lost in the playoffs will qualify to participate in the UPL.

10.6.2. If the team that finished 13th in the final standings won in the playoffs, the team that finished 14th and lost in the playoffs will qualify for the UPL.

10.6.3. If the teams finishing 13th and 14th in the UPL standings both won their playoff matches, the team that finished third in the First League PFL and lost in the playoffs will qualify for the UPL. If the third-place team in the First League PFL cannot participate, the fourth-place team that lost in the playoffs will qualify."

Addition of new points to the UPL Championship Regulations for the 2024/2025 season: Section 5, Article 10, Part 10.7 and 10.8, which now reads:

“10.7. If two teams withdraw from the UPL after the playoffs but before the new season starts, the teams that lost in the playoffs will be eligible to participate.

10.8. In the event of unforeseen circumstances not covered by these regulations, the UAF Executive Committee will decide the composition of UPL participants.”

Regarding the UAF Licensing Center

The Executive Committee tasked UAF First Vice-President Pavlo Boichuk with overseeing the organizational activities of the UAF Licensing Center. UAF Professional Football Committee Head Oleh Luzhnyi was assigned to oversee staffing and educational program development for the center.

The UAF administration was instructed to find candidates to strengthen and optimize the operations of the UAF Licensing Center.

On Football Development in Kyiv

The UAF Executive Committee decided:

- to separate the football association of Kyiv Oblast and Kyiv city into two separate entities: the Kyiv Oblast Association of Football and the Kyiv City Association of Football.

- to grant the Kyiv Association of Football Associations the status of a regional football association without requiring further qualification.

The UAF Executive Committee also approved a draft settlement agreement between the UAF and the Kyiv City Association of Football (KCAF). The agreement was sent to the KCAF for approval and signing.

If the UAF's Control and Disciplinary Committee (CDC) approves the settlement, the UAF Assembly will be instructed to hold a qualification process to grant regional association status to the Kyiv City Association of Football.

On UAF Committees

The UAF Executive Committee dismissed Volodymyr Kovyanyov from his position as a member of the UAF National Teams Committee. Oleksandr Holovko was elected as his replacement.

The Executive Committee also suspended the duties of UAF CDC head Vitaliy Naum based on his personal request. Oksana Zalizko, the Deputy Head of the CDC, was appointed as interim Head until the next UAF Congress.

Finally, the Executive Committee reviewed an independent audit report, which is currently under final consideration.
