Vorskla to face Celtic in Women's Champions League Round 2

Today, September 9, the draw for the 2024/2025 UEFA Women's Champions League Round 2 took place, revealing the opponent for Ukraine’s Vorskla Poltava.

In the previous stage, the Ukrainian side triumphed in Group 10 of the Champions Path, defeating Latvian club RFS (5:0) and Hungarian team Ferencváros (2:0). According to the draw, Vorskla will face Scottish side Celtic in the Round 2, with a spot in the group stage at stake. The matches are scheduled for September 18/19 and 25/26, with Vorskla playing the first leg at home.

The 12 winners from this round (seven from the Champions Path and five from the League Path) will advance to the group stage. Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Lyon, and Chelsea have already secured automatic spots in the group stage.

Meanwhile, Kolos ended their campaign in Round 1 after losing to Dutch club Ajax (1:4) and Danish side Brøndby (1:2) in Group 1 of the League Path.
