Women's Champions League: Vorskla advances to Round 2, Kolos ends their campaign

For the second time in history, Ukraine was represented by two teams in the Women's Champions League in the 2024/2025 season — Vorskla Poltava, competing in the first stage of the Champions Path, and Kolos Kovalivka, participating in the first round of the League Path.

Vorskla defeated Latvian club RFS 5:0 in the semifinals, while Kolos lost 1:4 in extra time to Dutch side Ajax.

Today, in the final, Vorskla faced the hosts of Group 10, Ferencváros. Thanks to goals from Korsun and Kravchuk, the Green and Whites secured a 2:0 victory. As a result, Vorskla advanced to Round 2 of the Women's Champions League, with the draw set for September 9 at 14:00 Kyiv time.

The winners of all 11 mini-tournaments in the Champions Path will progress to Round 2, where they will be joined by three teams (Roma, Slavia, and Hammarby) with direct entries to this stage. In Round 2, seven spots in the group stage will be at stake.

Meanwhile, Kolos competed in the third-place match against the hosts of Group 1, Brøndby. Despite equalizing in stoppage time, the Ukrainian team ultimately fell 1:2 to the Danish side, ending their debut campaign in the tournament.
