A week ago in Lublin, Ukrainians defeated "Partizan" (6:2), so they headed to the Serbian capital with a comfortable advantage. The game in Belgrade was played without spectators.

The white-and-blues quickly opened the score: Voloshin launched a counterattack and passed to Vana, whose pass, with help from an opponent, reached Yarmolenko, who calmly sent the ball into the net. Afterwards, Dynamo controlled the game, creating opportunities, including Yarmolenko's shot on target and Shaparenko's inaccurate attempt.

At the start of the second half, Saldanha kissed the post after a cross from the flank. Generally, Serbs had possession for some time, trying to create sharp moments near Bushchan's goal. However, on the 68th minute, "Dynamo" increased their lead — Markovic fouled Vana in his own penalty area, and he converted the resulting penalty.

Kievites could have scored a third but Voloshin somehow hit the crossbar after Supryga's shot. A moment later, Popov sent the ball into the net from a set piece, but it was offside. Later, Pihalonyok tested the goalkeeper with a long-range effort. And yet, the rout did happen — on the third minute of added time, Karavaev scored from Dubynchak's pass.
