Official: UAF Executive Committee to discuss replacement of SC Dnipro-1 on July 22
On July 19, the Ukrainian Premier League held a general meeting to review SC Dnipro-1's (Dnipro) request to withdraw from the 2024/2025 season.
The UPL clubs decided to approve SC Dnipro-1's request and removed the club from the competition. Following this, two proposals were put forward for consideration by the UAF Executive Committee, following Article 5 of the Regulations, to replace SC Dnipro-1.
The first proposal is to grant a place in the UPL to FC Mynai.
The second proposal is to hold a mini-tournament among four teams — Mynai, Metalist 1925, Livyi Bereh, and Epicenter — with the winner earning a spot in the UPL for the 2024/25 season.
The decision regarding the replacement of SC Dnipro-1 will be reviewed at the UAF Executive Committee meeting scheduled for July 22.
