On Friday, May 3rd in Nyon, the draw for the initial stage of the tournament took place. As a result, Ukraine's youth team (currently U-18, players born in 2006), led by Dmitry Mykhaylichenko, ended up in Group 1 alongside the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Kazakhstan.

It is now known that our group’s mini-tournament will take place in the Netherlands, with matches scheduled for November 13th, 16th, and 19th.

The top two teams from each qualifying round group and the best third-placed team will advance to the elite round. Alongside Portugal in spring 2025, they will compete in seven groups for seven spots at the final tournament. Romania as hosts automatically received one spot.
