In preparation for the Euro-2025 (U-19) indoor football selection, Ukraine's youth national team played a friendly match against Hungarian counterparts.

Coach Igor Moskvin's wards traveled to Hungary, to Nyíregyháza, for two friendly matches with local peers. Today, the updated Ukrainian U-19 indoor football youth national team conducted their first game.

The blue and yellow team proved stronger than the hosts — 5:1. In our squad's lineup, Illia Prykhodko, Oleksandr Zhukov, Stanislav Shklyaruk, Artem Klimchuk, and Ivan Razumny scored. The second friendly match will take place tomorrow (kickoff at 3 PM Kyiv time).

We remind you that our team will learn their opponents in the Euro-2025 (U-19) selection during the preliminary and main round draw, which will take place on October 31.

The inaugural European Championship for indoor football among youth teams took place in Rijeka in 2019, the second edition was held in Hainaut (originally planned for 2021 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and the third one — in Poreč in 2023. The champions were Spain (2019, 2022) and Portugal (2023).

The Ukrainian team participated in all three final tournaments. In 2019, Vitaliy Odegov's wards secured third place in the group stage, and in 2022 they reached the semifinals. In 2023, Igor Moskvin's team also made it to the semifinal stage.
