The Ukrainian Football Association has launched the implementation of the TARGET project — "Youth Footballers and Football Players as Ambassadors for Gender Equality," which is being carried out within the framework of the EU's Erasmus+ program in the field of sport.

The Latvian Football Federation, which acts as coordinator, the Ukrainian Football Association, the Estonian Football Association, the Malta Football Association, and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, along with the professional school ForModena in Modena (Italy) and the independent pan-European media network EURACTIV MEDIA NETWORK B.V., are involved in implementing this project.

The goal of the three-year project is to promote gender equality within youth football teams and beyond.  

In February, the UAF's social responsibility manager Irina Makarchyk participated in an offline meeting with all partners of the project held in Rijeka. Currently, the partners plan to conduct surveys among coaches, players, and referees, based on which a corresponding methodology will be developed.
