President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about the preparation of new security guarantee agreements for our country and an order that initiates the creation of unmanned systems forces in the Ukrainian army.

A brief report on the day.

Conducted a meeting regarding international activity for our country in February — the entire month is planned. Very detailed. In fact — every day. There will be many discussions, meetings, new agreements for Ukraine, to strengthen our soldiers.

Also held today a meeting on new security guarantee agreements for Ukraine — we are currently working with several countries. The agreements may be quite ambitious but have good content. And I am grateful to the diplomatic teams involved. We should already in the coming months show such results in the development of security agreement architecture that will give positive signals throughout this year — signals of active support for Ukraine, long-term support. Signals of clear trust from our partners in Ukraine's ability to defend itself against Russian aggression. The world is ready to actively help only those whose strength is obvious.

Today I held several international meetings. First — Portugal. Ministers of foreign affairs and education from Portugal were visiting Ukraine. Held a meeting with them — thanked for the level of cooperation between our countries, for trust in Ukraine and its people. One of the issues discussed — this is Portugal's participation in reconstruction in Ukraine. And, specifically, in the Zhytomyr region — educational institutions. We are very counting on these reconstruction projects being implemented as soon as possible.

Second meeting today — Director of IAEA Grossi. He plans to visit the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. We discussed in detail the situation at the station and current security challenges: Russian occupation of ZAES must stop, and this is a key prerequisite for restoring radiation safety for our entire region. Thanked Mr. Grossi for support of the Peace Formula and his representative's involvement in work on the formula. It is very important that Ukraine was elected to the IAEA Board of Governors. This is an obvious sign that the world recognizes our ability to restore stability and work for security.

Third today — meeting with head of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, one of the most respected international organizations uniting the most developed countries in the world. Thanked for support of our country and opening an office of the organization in Ukraine. We are constantly adding substance to our interaction and despite everything moving towards full membership in this club, the OECD. Discussed today also funding for reconstruction in Ukraine.

One more thing. Strategic issue. Just signed a decree that initiates the creation of a separate type of forces within our defense — unmanned systems forces. And this is not a matter of the future — it should give completely specific results already in the near term. This year must be decisive in many aspects. And, obviously, on the battlefield. Drones — unmanned systems — have proven their effectiveness in land, air and sea battles. Ukraine has actually changed the security situation in the Black Sea thanks to drones. Repelling enemy attacks on land — this is largely the work of drones. Large-scale destruction of occupiers and their equipment — these are also drones. Now the list of tasks is clear: special staff positions for drone work, special units, effective training, systematization of experience, continuous scaling of production and attracting the best ideas, best specialists in this field. This task is both for the army and for the ministry of defense and government as a whole. And to give necessary coordination within the armed forces, ensure proper level of planning and quality logistics, unmanned systems forces will be created in military structures. Relevant proposals will be submitted for consideration by the National Security and Defense Council.

We continue to reconfigure state system — those elements that are needed so that Ukraine achieves its goals. Completely justifiable goals. Ukraine can win. Must win. And we must do everything for this! I thank everyone who helps! Glory to all who fight and work for our country!
