President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about his conversation with Turkish President Erdogan and another defensive step by Germany for our country.

"I wish good health to dear Ukrainians!

Just had a conversation with Turkish President Erdogan. A very meaningful talk. Every day of this week, we are using it to intensify our international work so that this year already from the first weeks starts yielding results.

I thanked President Erdogan for the level of cooperation we have achieved in many areas, including defense. We have joint projects - successful ones, and this year we must do even more to strengthen our countries and our peoples.

Much depends on Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation regarding security in our region, in the Black Sea, and globally - food security. I am grateful both personally to President Erdogan and to all of Turkey for their support in our work concerning the maritime export corridor from Ukraine. As of today, over 14 million tons of cargo have already been transported through this corridor since its inception - that's almost a thousand ships. A very important result - economic, security, geopolitical. We demonstrate that we can restore security to our region despite all existing threats. We see how the strength of our partnership adds strength to our entire region.

Today I spoke with President Erdogan about our work on the Peace Formula. I informed him about the preparation for a new meeting at the level of parliamentarians, which will take place in Davos in January and invited a representative from Turkey. Turkey confirmed.

And each country's participation in joint work - now by parliamentarians, later by leaders - will demonstrate how important it is that international law works. Works at 100%. Starting with the UN Charter, ending with all other norms guaranteeing respect for nations and territorial integrity of states.

Special attention - to the point in the Peace Formula regarding the return of all those who were kidnapped or deported. Today I discussed this with Turkish President as well. The return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russians. The return of those detained and all others subjected to repression on occupied territory, including Crimea. Very important mediation by Turkey so that Crimean Tatars and everyone else - adults and children, soldiers and civilians held in Russian captivity - can be freed.

We are working with all partners so that this month Ukraine receives sufficient defense packages. We already have another defensive step from Germany for Ukraine. These are missiles for air defense, artillery of 155 caliber, as well as other necessary things. Thank you! A very timely package. We expect such steps also from our other partners, especially the United States. So that this winter, like last year's, Russian terror will not succeed in anything.

Of course, I am constantly in touch with military personnel and our commanders. Every day and night of this year - new fierce battles. The most intense battles - Avdiivka, Mariupol direction, Bakhmut, Lysychansk, Kupyansk. South of our country. Absolutely heroic work by our soldiers. All forces of defense and security. Each brigade on the front line. Every unit. Everyone working for defense. Everyone helping.

And the main priority of our state - unchanged - is to provide everything necessary for the protection of Ukraine and for our active actions. Ammunition. Drones. Equipment. Personnel. To endure this year means to endure the entire war. A crucial time. Much is decisive. Thank you all who realize this. Who help the country become stronger, and our soldiers have the ability to destroy the enemy.
