To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 29, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred seventy-fourth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses terrorism tactics, carries out missile and air strikes, conducts artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers not only on military but also on numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, there were 53 combat engagements. In total, the enemy inflicted four missile and 86 air strikes, carried out 55 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are injured among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Late yesterday evening, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine again using 22 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Our air defense destroyed 18 attacking UAVs. Also today morning, the Russian occupiers carried out missile and air strikes on Ukraine. Details of the attack are being clarified.

Air strikes were suffered by Petrovka, Glushkivka in Kharkiv region; Nevske, Novolubovka, Serebryanskoie forest district in Luhansk region; Terny, Kolodyazi, Yamopolivka, Seversk, Spirene, Pereyezdnoe, Novobakhmutivka, Staromayorskoe in Donetsk region; Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia region.

Artillery fire affected about 110 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On Severian and Slobozhansky directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening directions, increases density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks near Sinkyvka village, Kharkiv region.

On Lyman direction the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On Bakhmut direction our soldiers repelled three attacks of the enemy near Bogdanivka and Andriyivka, Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting heavy losses on aggressors. Thus, during the past day, our forces repelled 14 attacks east of Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka and 12 attacks in areas near Pervomaysk and Nevelsky, Donetsk region.

On Mariupol direction our soldiers hold back the enemy in areas around Mariupol and Novomykhailovka, Donetsk region, where six attacks were repelled.

On Shakhtarsk direction the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On Zaporizhzhia direction forces of defense repelled four attacks south of Novodarivka, west of Verbovskoie and Robotino, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on Kherson direction, Ukrainian defenders continue efforts to expand their foothold. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, the enemy carried out 13 unsuccessful assault operations against forces of defense and was repelled.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces continue active actions inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on occupying troops along the entire front line.

During the past day, our aviation carried out strikes against 17 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as two air defense missile complexes of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops inflicted damage on two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, eleven artillery systems, two command posts, two radio-electronic warfare stations, two air defense missile complexes and six ammunition depots of the enemy.
