To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 27, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and seventieth day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, 80 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out eight missile strikes and sixty air raids, conducted 69 artillery attacks on our positions and populated areas with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

During the night, Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using 46 Shahed-136/131 tactical drones. Air defense forces destroyed 32 attack drones.

Air raids hit Gremyach in Chernihiv Oblast; Varvarivka, Synykhivka, Ivanivka, Kupiansk, Sobolivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Serebryanske forest district, Bilotoretske in Luhansk Oblast; Dibrova, Novobakhmutivka, Oleksandriopil, Novomikhailivka in Donetsk Oblast; Zmiyivka, Krynky in Kherson Oblast.

Artillery fire affected nearly 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv oblasts.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our forces from redeploying to threatening directions, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Synykhivka and northeast of Petropavlivka in Kharkiv Oblast, where the enemy attempted to break through our defenses.

On the Lyman front defensive forces repelled 11 enemy attacks near Serebryanske forest district in Luhansk Oblast and Veselo in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front our soldiers repelled eight enemy attacks near populated areas of Bogdanivka, Klyshchyvka, and Andriyivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Thus, defensive forces repelled 13 enemy attacks east of Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka during the past day, as well as 16 attacks near Perevomayske and Nevelskoye in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol front our soldiers continue to hold back the enemy in areas of Novomikhailivka and Pobedy in Donetsk Oblast, where seven attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk front the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Zaporizhzhia front defensive forces repelled nine enemy attacks in the area of Robotino and west of Verbovskoye in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on the Kherson front, Ukrainian defenders continue efforts to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, the enemy carried out 14 unsuccessful assault operations, received a worthy rebuff and retreated.

At the same time, Ukrainian defensive forces continue active actions inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on occupying troops along the entire front line.

During the past day, aviation of defensive forces carried out strikes against 17 areas of enemy personnel concentration, armaments, and military equipment, as well as five anti-aircraft missile complexes. Air defense destroyed two guided air-to-surface missiles Kh-59 and one reconnaissance drone of the enemy. Also, tactical aviation of our air force successfully attacked a large landing ship of the Black Sea Fleet of RF «Novocherkassk».

Subunits of rocket forces struck three areas of personnel concentration, armaments and military equipment, command post, two artillery systems, and another three important targets of the enemy.
