Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on December 24, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred sixty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the night, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine again, using 16 drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. Using air defense systems and forces, 15 attacking drones were destroyed.

Over the past day, there were 81 combat engagements. In total, the enemy carried out 11 missile strikes and 34 aviation attacks, conducted 62 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Aviation strikes hit the following locations: Leonivka, Chervoniy Hutyr in Chernihiv Oblast; Synykhivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Serebryanske forest management in Luhansk Oblast; Georgiyivka and Novomikhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

Artillery fire affected nearly 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv oblasts.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our forces from redeploying to threatening directions, and increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 enemy attacks near Synykhivka in Kharkiv Oblast, where the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to break through our defenses.

On the Lyman front occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Bakhmut front our soldiers repelled 11 enemy attacks near populated areas of Bogdanivka, Ivanivske, Klyshchyivka and Andriyivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting heavy losses on occupiers. Defense forces repelled 25 attacks of the enemy east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepanovo, and Avdiivka as well as 15 attacks near Severnyy, Pervomayskoye, and Nevelsky Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol front defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Mariupol and Novomikhailivka in Donetsk Oblast, where our defenders repelled 4 attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk front occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Zaporizhzhia front defense forces repelled all enemy attacks in the areas of Robotino and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson front, Ukrainian soldiers continue to expand their foothold. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, the enemy carried out 17 unsuccessful assault operations and received a worthy rebuff.

At the same time, Ukrainian defense forces continue active actions inflicting casualties on occupiers along the entire front line.

During the past day, aviation of the Defense Forces carried out strikes against 18 areas of enemy personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment as well as 5 air defense missile complexes. Also, anti-aircraft defenses destroyed one guided aerial missile Kh-59 and two reconnaissance drones.

Rocket units struck six areas of enemy personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment, a radar station, two artillery systems, three ammunition depots and a command post.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day amounted to: 800 occupiers, 4 tanks, 17 armored combat vehicles, 28 artillery systems, 20 tactical drones, one cruise missile, 27 vehicles and six units of special equipment.
