President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about a resolution by the International Maritime Organization in support of our efforts in the Black Sea and about a record-breaking performance by "Ukrzaliznytsia" since the beginning of the full-scale war.
“I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!
Firstly, I want to acknowledge today our mobile artillery groups' soldiers.
Only last night during another "drone" raid, 18 drones were destroyed. Most of them by the mobile artillery groups. That's how it should be. Thank you to everyone who trains these group members and ensures they have everything they need. Last night, mobile artillery groups performed well in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kirovohrad regions. I am personally grateful to you, boys, and all others on rotation in various parts of our country.
Also, I want to acknowledge the soldiers of the Air Force — our pilots, engineers, anti-aircraft personnel — and subunits of the Ground Forces' air defense. Your vigilance and accuracy are the resilience of our entire state and cities.
Today there is an important result for Ukraine on an international level as well. Specifically, at the International Maritime Organization, which removed Russia from its governing bodies last week. Today, the Assembly of the International Maritime Organization adopted a resolution supporting our efforts in the Black Sea — Ukraine's success in restoring maritime navigation and operating the new "grain corridor". By the way, this export corridor has already yielded results — over 7 million tons of cargo have been transported. This is very significant — it's our economy. And not just port workers and farmers but many other related industries as well. Millions of jobs in Ukraine depend on exports that our state can ensure. I thank everyone around the world who has helped with this for Ukraine. In particular, now the International Maritime Organization will support our efforts, there is a corresponding decision — to evaluate what technical assistance we need for normal operation of the maritime corridor.
Good results are also being seen in our railway system. "Ukrzaliznytsia" alone transported 14 million tons of cargo just this November. This is a record-breaking performance since the start of the full-scale war, and it reflects good work on both export and import routes as well as internal transportation. I am grateful to everyone at "Ukrzaliznytsia", all our transport workers, each and every one working in Ukrainian ports, and all those countries and peoples who are actually supporting European "Solidarity Routes" created to help a people fighting aggression.
Today there was also an update from the head of foreign intelligence Alexander Litvinenko. Important and relevant information about what Ukraine can expect, what preparations we need to make. I held talks with international partners regarding our diplomatic communications in December: planning active work every week this month. We are expecting important agreements with partners by year-end as well. The priority remains unchanged: strengthening the state, protecting people, adding strength to our positions — everywhere. And I am grateful to all who do not place their personal interests above those of Ukraine's State. Who fight. Work. And help.
Glory to Ukraine!”
