In the rescheduled match of the third round of the Conference League group stage, Luhansk Zorya lost to Israeli Maccabi from Tel Aviv.

On November 9, the black-and-whites in their nominal home game in Lublin lost to Maccabi T-A (1:3). The away match between Zorya and the Israelis in the third round was rescheduled by UEFA to November 25. The game took place in the Serbian city of Bačka Topola. It should be noted that Luhansk played this match with a new coach — Yuriy Koval replaced Valery Krivenkov.

In the first half, the nominal hosts had more possession and made more attempts on goal; Bitton tested Turbayevsky once. Zorya focused on counterattacks, and in one of them, Mitchin forced Moskera to make a save for his team. However, just before halftime, Zachav scored with a shot under the crossbar from outside the box.

Immediately after halftime, Perez took advantage of an error by Luhansk's defense and increased Maccabi's lead. Later, he, as in the previous match, completed his brace, finishing off Kanihovsky’s pass. Zorya responded with a dangerous shot from Mitchin, which was saved by the goalkeeper. On minute 71, Herrera scored one back for the black-and-whites after Gorbach played a ball following an error by the Israelis near their own goal.

Towards the end of the match, Zorya managed to score again — Gorbach finished off Antykh’s cross from the right flank. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian team could not do more and lost to Maccabi once again — 2:3.
