To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on November 23, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred thirty-eighth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, carries out missile and air strikes, and shells both military and numerous civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

During the past day, there were 74 combat engagements. In total, the enemy carried out 3 missile and 43 air strikes, conducted over 64 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. Additionally, during the night of November 22, the occupiers launched another attack on Ukraine using 14 Shahed-136/131 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs). Anti-aircraft defenses destroyed all 14 Shaheds. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air strikes hit the following areas: Synykhivka, Podol, Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, Stepanova Novoselivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Seredynske Forest, Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast; Spirene, Pivdenne, Oleksandrivka, Avdiivka, Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast.

Over 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out assault actions in the areas of Synykhivka, north-eastern Petropavlivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv Oblast, where the Forces of Defense repelled 12 attacks.

On the Lyman direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.

On the Bakhmut direction, the occupiers did not carry out offensive (assault) operations. In turn, the Forces of Defense of Ukraine continue assault actions south of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, the aggressors do not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka, but our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions of the enemy east of Novobakhmutivka, north of Lastochkino, Avdiivka and Perevomysk in Donetsk Oblast, where the Forces of Defense repelled 30 attacks.

On the Mariupol direction, our defenders repelled 18 enemy attacks in the areas of Mariupol and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault actions near Staromayske in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy four times unsuccessfully attempted to restore lost positions in the area of Robotino in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

At the same time, the Forces of Defense of Ukraine continue conducting offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupation troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold occupied positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, continuing counter-battery fire and delivering artillery strikes against enemy rear areas.

During the day, aviation of the Forces of Defense carried out an attack on 11 concentration areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket forces struck 13 concentration areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment, command post, anti-aircraft defense system, 4 artillery systems and ammunition depot of the enemy.
