Youth coach of Ukraine Una Holosha shared his thoughts on how players are receiving the demands of the new coaching staff, commented on the victory over Luxembourg's youth team with a score of 3-0 and spoke about what he expects from his wards in the upcoming match against England.

— Una, after two initial matches, Ukraine's youth team has earned maximum points without conceding any goals. In your opinion, to what extent do you think the team has already adapted to the demands of the coaching staff?

— I believe that players who are in the youth squad are putting a lot of effort into understanding our playing model and what we want to see on the field within a short period of time. And we are quite satisfied with their attentiveness throughout the entire training process.

Especially, I like the behavior of footballers during trainings; they try to execute what we talk about. And, of course, they strive to become better, not only in terms of space usage and decisions on the ball but also in understanding the timing of many aspects on the field. The latter is harder to achieve. They are still young and need to learn this — we are on our way there.

— The youth team of Ukraine defeated Luxembourg's team with a score of 3-0. The advantage seems significant, but the entire first half saw opponents holding off the blue-and-yellow team's attacks. Did the goal in the dressing room psychologically help the team?

— Although the match ended with such a large score, it was not easy. As you said, the first goal was scored only at the end of the first half. We had several opportunities to score that we did not capitalize on until Krasnopіr took advantage of his chance. This was a collective effort against a team that defended quite well in the first half.

This goal, of course, helped us calm down. But one needs to be careful because excessive calmness can lead to conceding — I believe our team avoided this.

Overall, the match was challenging. It was not easy playing against Luxembourg's national team as they fought until the end.

— Your next opponent is a European champion and one of the best youth teams in world football. England scored nine goals against Serbia! How will blue-and-yellow stop this incredible team?

— We respect all teams, and certainly we greatly respect England. But I don't think our main idea is to hold back the English. We want to be proactive in our football.

Perhaps after the match one can say that it was worth holding them back. But our main idea — is to transfer all qualities, concepts in attack and defense, which we work on, onto the field.

Obviously, we need to be in top shape. So, we have a collective goal as well as defined individual goals for each player to show their best version of themselves in the match.

— Are all players preparing for the match against England's team? Are there no players with injuries or damage after the meeting with Luxembourg's team?

— After the match with Luxembourgers, we did not have any new injuries. A couple of players got slightly chilled but, hopefully, they will recover for the game.

— Youth teams of Ukraine and England will play a match in Slovakian Košice. After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, there are many Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia. Do you expect a large support from Ukrainian fans at the stadium? Could this factor influence the final result of the game?

— I don't know how many supporters will come to the stadium. But I feel that a lot of people from Ukraine are coming to our matches. Ukrainian fans — they are incredible, they support us always! It's important for us to feel this!

We will try to repay their support with our attitude, intentions, actions on the field. Support from supporters always helps, especially in such a situation as Ukraine is living through now.
